The themes of this two-day walk were peace, hope, and gifts. The three characteristics of being in the eternal now are characterized by conscious awareness of the three spiritual principles that permeate throughout ~ the eternal now.
Peace is the cessation of all mind chatter. it is characterized by a calming sense in the body and by an awareness of less verbal chatter. It is manifest in the external world when there is no churning of energies in the body that can be seen in the space that surrounds you as you go about your daily tasks. It is an energy that affects all those around you. Divine love, when it is anchored in the eternal now, is an expression of peace. As peace in the external world expands, so does Divine love.
Hope is awareness in the eternal now and is characterized by a foundation built on certainty. It is not a future characteristic; rather it is a moment by- moment energy that surrounds all of your external activities.
In the eternal now there is no ego, so it is impossible to hope for some thing. Hope is an outpouring of the eternal now in the cutting edge of each moment and is being manifested in the external world as energy gathering for potential change.
Hope is the power that brings the collective consciousness into the external world as a state of conscious certainty. It is through the spiritual principle of conscious certainty that social and political changes can come about. Conscious certainty permeates throughout both the active principles of internal spiritual awareness and external expression in the everyday lives of the action of the people. As it takes root, this spiritual activity brings spiritual reality into existence in the collective consciousness of the culture. The greater the number of people who can live in the eternal now, the more quickly cultural changes in the external world will occur.
Gifts are the active fulfillment of both giving and receiving. Giving is the principle of spiritual awareness of Divine love as an activity that continues to unfold in the eternal now in each breath we take. This is the active receiving of the gift of Divine love that life is given to us, as well as to all of life.
To receive the gifts of the eternal now is to surrender into the eternal consciousness of the energies of Divine love. In this act of surrender, the ego is merged into the Oneness of the cutting edge of each Now.
